Cosmetics manufacturing ERP from bulk to finished lot
A cosmetics batch is not only the bulk. It is the bulk lot, the bottle or jar, the cap, the label, the fill yield, and the finished lot that shipped. When those live in different sheets, the next quote still uses the theoretical fill and last month’s component cost.
MFGMAX Cosmetics prices the batch from bulk, components, and the yield the line actually fills. The bulk lot, the component, and the label that went into the finished lot stay on that batch. Fill yield, overfill, and in-process checks are visible before the batch is closed.
QC status and the shipments of that finished lot stay on the same record. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks. This does not replace your safety assessment, your specifications, or a required approval.
What stays on one record
- Price the batch from bulk, components, and the yield the line actually fills
- Record the bulk lot, the bottle or jar, the cap, and the label that went into the finished lot
- See fill yield, overfill, and in-process checks before the batch is closed
- Keep QC status and the shipments of that finished lot on the same record
How a batch runs in MFGMAX
1. Cost bulk and components together
The quote uses bulk, components, and the fill yield the line actually gets. A formula cost that ignores the component lot and the overfill is not the cost of the finished good.
2. Issue the component lots onto the batch
The bottle, cap, and label are part of the finished lot. They are recorded with the bulk lot, not added later from a packing list.
3. See fill yield before close
Fill yield, overfill, and in-process checks show on the open batch. A short fill is visible while the line can still be held or corrected.
4. Hold QC status with the finished lot
QC status is not a separate notebook. It sits with the finished lot and the shipments of that lot.
5. Quote the next run from this fill
The next quote reads the yield and the component cost this batch actually used.

A normal week
A fill runs heavy. The bulk was costed. The extra jars and labels were not on the quote. The job still looks fine until the component inventory is short for the next order.
A customer asks which finished lots used a bulk lot. Packaging knows the line. Quality knows the batch number. Shipping knows the cartons. Nobody has one record.
QC status is updated after the lot has already been staged. The sheet and the floor disagree for a day. That is the day someone can ship the wrong status.
MFGMAX keeps the formula, the bulk, the components, the fill, QC status, and the shipment on one batch so the next quote and the next question use that record.

Integrations
MFGMAX holds the batch or job, the lots or materials, and the actual cost. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks, or in another system you already close. Inventory, quality, shipping, payroll, and other plant software can connect the same way. What moves, and when, is shown before you commit. Your accountant still closes the books.

Questions
What stays on one batch in MFGMAX Cosmetics?
The formula, the bulk, the components, the fill, and the finished lot stay on one batch. On that same record: Price the batch from bulk, components, and the yield the line actually fills Record the bulk lot, the bottle or jar, the cap, and the label that went into the finished lot See fill yield, overfill, and in-process checks before the batch is closed Keep QC status and the shipments of that finished lot on the same record The point is that sales, the floor, and finance are not each keeping a private copy.
When does the cost become visible?
The cost is on the open batch, not in a report after the shipment or the invoice. Keep QC status and the shipments of that finished lot on the same record If the number shows up only at close, the price and the schedule have already moved on.
Do we have to leave QuickBooks?
MFGMAX holds the batch or job, the lots or materials, and the actual cost. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks, or in another system you already close. Inventory, quality, shipping, payroll, and other plant software can connect the same way. What moves, and when, is shown before you commit. Your accountant still closes the books.
What can the AI copilot answer?
The copilot answers from the records already in MFGMAX, not from a general guess. Owners ask things like: Which formulas are quoted on old component costs? Which component lots expire before the scheduled fill? Where is fill yield short on open batches? Which finished lots used this bulk lot? If the record was never written, the copilot cannot invent it.
What does MFGMAX not replace?
This does not replace your safety assessment, your specifications, or a required approval.
How does an evaluation start?
Bring one open batch. We walk through it in MFGMAX and show what the record would look like. The start is one process, not every screen at once. QuickBooks stays. Integrations are shown before you commit.
