Work order software for Part 145 repair stations

A repair station can have the parts, the hours, and the return to service in three places. The work order does not show whether the repair is received, in work, waiting on parts, in inspection, or ready to return. Hours land after the job is already late.

MFGMAX Aviation keeps certified parts, serial and lot identity, and where each part was removed or installed on the work order. Hours are recorded while the job is still open. The traveler, inspection status, and return-to-service notes stay with the repair.

This supports the repair station manual you already use. It does not replace your FAA certificate or an approval. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks.

What stays on one record

  • See a repair as received, in work, waiting on parts, in inspection, or ready to return
  • Keep certified parts, serial and lot identity, and where each part was removed or installed
  • Record hours against the work order while the job is still open
  • Hold the traveler, inspection status, and return-to-service notes with the repair

How a work order runs in MFGMAX

  1. 1. Open the work order at receiving

The repair has a status: received, in work, waiting on parts, in inspection, or ready to return. The status is the work order, not a board that drifts from the file.

  2. 2. Trace the part

Certified parts, serial and lot identity, and where each part was removed or installed stay on the work order.

  3. 3. Post technician hours now

Hours record against the work order while the job is open, so a job that is already past the estimate is visible before it returns.

  4. 4. Keep inspection with the repair

The traveler, inspection status, and return-to-service notes are held with the repair. A missing record is visible before the unit is called ready.

  5. 5. See margin on the open repair

Actual hours and parts on the work order are what you compare with the estimate while the repair is still in the shop.

A normal week

A unit sits in waiting-on-parts. The status on the board still says in work. The customer calls. The person at the desk retypes a lookup.

A part was installed. The serial is on a traveler in the bay. The work order in the office does not name it yet. Inspection is ready to sign.

Hours are totaled when the invoice is drafted. The repair already took twice the estimate. The price was quoted at induction.

MFGMAX keeps parts trace, technician hours, inspection status, and return-to-service notes on the work order. It supports the manual you already use. It does not replace your FAA certificate or an approval.

Integrations

MFGMAX holds the batch or job, the lots or materials, and the actual cost. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks, or in another system you already close. Inventory, quality, shipping, payroll, and other plant software can connect the same way. What moves, and when, is shown before you commit. Your accountant still closes the books.

Questions

What stays on one work order in MFGMAX Aviation?

The work order carries the parts trace, the technician hours, the inspection, and the return to service. On that same record: See a repair as received, in work, waiting on parts, in inspection, or ready to return Keep certified parts, serial and lot identity, and where each part was removed or installed Record hours against the work order while the job is still open Hold the traveler, inspection status, and return-to-service notes with the repair The point is that sales, the floor, and finance are not each keeping a private copy.

When does the cost become visible?

The cost is on the open work order, not in a report after the shipment or the invoice. Hold the traveler, inspection status, and return-to-service notes with the repair If the number shows up only at close, the price and the schedule have already moved on.

Do we have to leave QuickBooks?

MFGMAX holds the batch or job, the lots or materials, and the actual cost. Accounting can stay in QuickBooks, or in another system you already close. Inventory, quality, shipping, payroll, and other plant software can connect the same way. What moves, and when, is shown before you commit. Your accountant still closes the books.

What can the AI copilot answer?

The copilot answers from the records already in MFGMAX, not from a general guess. Owners ask things like: Which work orders are waiting on parts? Which repairs are missing an FAA compliance record? Where are actual hours above the estimate? Which repairs are below the expected margin? If the record was never written, the copilot cannot invent it.

What does MFGMAX not replace?

This supports the repair station manual you already use. It does not replace your FAA certificate or an approval.

How does an evaluation start?

Bring one open work order. We walk through it in MFGMAX and show what the record would look like. The start is one process, not every screen at once. QuickBooks stays. Integrations are shown before you commit.
