FSMA 204 Traceability for Food Plants

The FDA Food Traceability Rule asks covered food businesses to keep key data elements for critical tracking events, and to provide records to the FDA within 24 hours of a request. The compliance date is July 20, 2028.

MFGMAX keeps ingredient lots, expiration, allergen and ingredient identity, and the shipment with the run. That is the lot record a traceability request has to start from. A lot you cannot name both ways is not a 24-hour answer.

This does not replace your food-safety program, your specifications, or a required approval.
